probably not the best time to start a covet based project. but still very cool
I'm aware, I originally started on the model many months ago, only throwing it in Beam now for lulz
mazdarati covet please
I can make configs!
Ewwwww, quick 30 min mod
Little more progress
Still need to sort out some mesh errors, then ill think about getting around to texturing
Not sure why this has not been made before, but I love everything about it.
It has been done before... twice. But nothing currently up to date.
It looks so good.... Are you planning to give it a HSV Maloo-style bed cover?
i don't remember seeing anything like this before tbh, but oh well. will be doing it anyway once the upcoming update is out
oh yeah, i already did add RWD
So far only testing, there are lots of issues with this design such as clipping with stock suspension and falling over easily, but mid air it works as it should. I'll have to redesign it completely, but the main concept seems to be effective.
wow, that looks amazing dude
dont forget to give it an obnoxiously loud radiator fan, as all real 4runners have lmao
very nice, good choice
i'm glad that this is coming from you, so I can sleep well knowing it's actually gonna be high quality and not some copy paste meshslap lol
can't wait to see the amount of configs lol
Are these UTE public?
Oh nice, a 4Runner. Now that's something worth bringing over to BeamNG since the game needs even more SUVs (and yeah, I know that the model is from Forza Horizon 5 much like the Land Rover Defender). As a little tidbit from me, this SUV is a common sight in the USA, especially the off-road ready TRD Pro models. Despite being built in Japan, it is officially sold only in North America and Latin America.
Being that this is the Development Screens thread, I have a comment, suggestion, and question as shown below:
From what I can gather and at the time of this message, 12 colors have been offered on the 4Runner TRD Pro since that variant was introduced in 2015. Super White has been available for every model year, followed by Midnight Black (formally known as Attitude Black in 2015, renamed in 2016 but not added back until 2018) and Magnetic Gray (first added in 2016, then became regularly available since 2020). At one point, Barcelona Red was an available option for 2017. Aside from those 4 colors cribbed from the regular 4Runner lineup, every model year has had an exclusive, one-year-only paint color: Inferno for 2015, Quicksand for 2016, Cement for 2017, Cavalry Blue for 2018, Voodoo Blue for 2019, Army Green for 2020, Lunar Rock for 2021, and Lime Rush for 2022. So hopefully, you got the factory colors taken care of for the TRD Pro
Any plans for a V8 swap? While the 4.0L 1GR-FE V6 is adequate for the 5th generation 4Runner, it didn't carry over the previous generation's 4.7L 2UZ-FE V8 North American models received. Either that, or the 4.6L 1UR-FE V8 from the mechanically-related Lexus GX 460 (the otherwise-identical Land Cruiser Prado doesn't even offer a V8!) would suffice should a V8 swap is considered.
Will the 4Runner mod you're making right now be as comprehensive as the Defender mod in terms of parts and configurations? Even though the TRD Pro is the most off-road capable of them all, Toyota has also offered lesser TRD models in the form of TRD Sport and TRD Off Road models. And then, of course, you have the rest of the 4Runner lineup, which includes SR5, Limited, Venture, Nightshade, and Trail models. That being said, you will have to model parts in order to cater towards the rest of the trim levels (and also include more factory colors not available to the TRD Pro). I'm just wondering how you plan to expand the mod like the Defender, nothing more.
Otherwise, that's pretty much all I have to provide. Good luck on this next project
Ninetynine!'s mod is still alive.
