Well that joke went right over your head. This isn't the thread for game help, go post in the support area.
It's actually a thing that can happen IRL too, it's just that you usually don't shift from D to R while being at the rev limiter
touche, although sometimes it'll happen to me at idle as well, although much less often then while revved up (and every time it's unexpected, going to drive or reverse, and then actually physically moving the opposite direction) not really related to the topic at hand (DCT's) but something i just realised, i by habit highlight all your posts expecting some hidden text, i thought that was interesting
When I talked with the devs in person, they said polish would come later. I can see them being added, but not in the immediate future.
Yes, the traffic lights are already added and they work. Italy also has working lights. As can be seen in these pictures.
That road has pavement and what appears to be a trolley line. It's heavily-patched and rough-looking pavement, but it's still pavement.
Pavement does fade with age, especially if it's facing direct sunlight. I imagine that the effect would be particularly bad on an east or west-facing hill in a sunny Southern Californian city, where the sun beats down on it all day long. Also, remember that the above photo was taken back in October. Textures may have changed between then and now, and will likely be improved at least once more before Beamng is finished.
@B25Mitch From what i have seen so far the WCA will obviously be very heavy on the amount of buildings and structures and therefore I'm curious if you can tell/estimate me how heavy the map is going to be on performance on release day, compared to other maps we have now.
Well Mitch did say before that it will be able to run within the specs of the game, so while it might be the heaviest map yet its probably not going to be harder to run than Utah. Really once you get down to it model wise Utah has 1000s of models for rocks and small things while ECA has loads of buildings and vegitation too. It just looks more imposing being larger buildings and more densely packed in city areas than smaller objects but the geometry probably isn't that much more demanding.
I must say something about Italy map. Please don't make every town on map square shaped! We already have one - ECA, and soon another one - WCA. Third map with same town design is little too much. That square thing near the castle looks ridiculous. Why not make that town looks like this? Castle Malaspina east of La Spezia. Also please make at least some of them more chaotic like this. There is a prison in the middle of town. Village should be more widespread with more random, alone standing houses. Port town should be bigger with longer breakwater.
Looks like the city areas of Italy are getting fleshed out - check out the balcony railings, the graffiti low on the left, and the drainpipe on the right! Hopefully the layout of the main city is being revised before things reach this point - it's just not chaotic enough to feel like a proper old Italian city to me. Say, can anybody identify that strange black object next to the drainpipe?
