i think it would be AWESOME, if there was a way to have some good demolition derbys... maybe vs ai or a multiplayer mode. and i dont mean racing and crashing i mean demolition derby! there are like 0 good demoderby games and i think this would be amazing!! in rigs of rods you could not do it be cause 1: no matter how much you damaged the car it could still run 2: it lagged REALLY bad when cars hit each other!! so ya i just think this would be really cool! as in this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hm8pDrTwalE and maybe some racing modes like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vNNm0i1mJM but ya this would be epic!

Try Next Car Game if you want a good demo derby game. I can run it at 60fps solid with 24 cars running around. Keep in mind its a full damage model as well. I don't have a super computer either, just an upgraded graphics card.
It does, so do Burnout Paradise slowmo wrecks. But BeamNG looks even better. I was just pointing it out because he said it's a 'full damage model', I assume he meant soft body physics which it's not.
You can't really compare it to Gta. It's leagues above the damage model of gta. I also don't think it's precalculated. It's some sort of softbody but it only deforms in one frame after the impact. Not like BeamNGs real time frame by frame deformation godness.(but don't quote me on that..I may have no idea really) You also have to admit it's a pretty great solution from a gaming perspective.
Never said it wasn't, the damage model is actually great. But that doesn't make it real time soft body :|
It's not softbody in any way. The sheer amount of shit that can go flying across the screen in NCG rivals BeamNG's true softbody in terms of impact though (pun intended).
Then people might stop fanboying over NCG cause of its billions of particles and very dramatic lighting affects.
