I'm having a problem with the Marshal in Bidwars mod. I get it, its a physics thing, but if I was any good at designing cars like I was when I was younger, I would totally design the entire set to match the different classes of Demolition Derbies on American soil. Potential.
While Beamng Drive may have shifted away from its initial focus on demolition derbies and vehicle deformation alone to a broader vehicle simulation experience, the bones of a good demolition derby game are still there and ready to go. It'd be pretty odd to have all the ingredients and not bake the cake! I'm betting that demolition derbies (and several variants of the related banger race) will become a full-fledged game mode well before Beamng itself is complete, and that we'll start to see features that have been modded in (particularly removable windows and straight-piped engines) gradually becoming official content as time wears on. Official Derby AI will probably wait until the existing Chase & Flee AI modes are finished to the developers' collective satisfaction. In the meantime, @bidwars has proven that it is very possible to construct an AI mode capable of targeting a single car at random, backing off enough to allow the derby to continue (as opposed to simply hitting the target car and pinning it against a wall), and ignoring disabled vehicles. Due to the fact that large, RWD American sedans built between 1958 and 1980 are the traditional choice for demolition derbies on this side of the Atlantic, I'd wager that we'll start to see more specialized parts appear and other derby paraphernalia (arenas, AI, skins, etc.) enter the development cycle as the Bluebuck becomes part of the game. Who knows? Maybe we'll even get the legendary inverted rear differential!
What i dont like is the AI always pin me to the wall or push me and I CANT MOVE! XD I hope there is a "Random Chase" option For AI control It would be really good and No wall pinner
