It would be very helpful if the steering would slow down at higher speeds, which would make controlling the car much easier at higher speeds, or with steering wheels to make it really hard to turn (Force-Feed-Back)
It would be realistic because of the increasing power needed to turn a faster spinning wheel (proof is Veritasiums wheightless wheel).
I dont know how, but the energy needed to turn a spinning wheel can sure be calculated with the wheel speed, wheel mass and steering power.
Also I want kinda more feedback over the controller, so it vibrates when the car starts to under/oversteer, wheelspin and when the tires start to lock.
Would be nice if those things could be included since they allow more control at high speeds and may fix the Civetta ;)

Controls > Force Feedback > Click on 'Steer' > Change 'Sensitivity'
From there you can also change the FFB intensity, so you can reduce it if the steering is too hard.

Vibration on controller is very WIP.
With the controller plugged in, in the same menu as above, enable 'Force Feedback'.

    Ok, thanks for the answer.
The label "sensitivity" would suggest that the car would react faster with little input at higher values, thus increasing the "steering-power".
I myself would label it as "steering-linearity", because it changes in which relation the input of the joystick would stand to the steering of the car.
I can finally drive now ^^, but it would be awesome when the steering gets heavier with more speed because of the rotation (pidgeon only gets half the impact ^^)
Also, there is no option for my 360 wired controller to enable force feedback, dont know why...

    Ok, found the option

It was indeed called 'Linearity' before, infact it does exactly that. It will make the thumbstick less sensible near the center as you increase the value ^_^
But we changed it into 'Sensitivity' as not all people knew that option is that one they were searching.

Yeah I know what steering linearity is about :D
Maybe it can be "labeled" back to Steering-linearity with an explatation while hovering over it with the mouse, and a "new" slider called sensitivity that changes the time the steering takes to get to the position...
Still, thanks for the fast replies, Ill try to look after the instability caused by braking and how to probably fix it without making the game "unrealistig".
I actually prefer to drive in the game rather than crashing, so...

Hey, didn't bother to open another topic, so I'm using this instead.

I use controller for steering, but I steer with buttons instead of analog sticks. I tried to change the steering value from the config file, but it didn't do anything. Is there any other things I should look for ? The cars a slightly too slow to turn in my taste, too slow for doing any proper powerslides.

As a keyboard user, i would see it as a giantic help if steering could be less sensitive with speed, or if there was extra unrealistic assistance used for people without steering wheels.
