I have a WIP urban map that I would, at some point, like to give a day/night cycle. I know that such a feature exists, but as my city is supposed to be populated, I'd like to have a system that changes some of the materials (skysphere, streetlights, lights in windows) based on the TOD value. I've glanced at lua tutorials, and there seems to be some useful information, but I don't know how/if the lua scripts work with the material files, the current scene (and therefore level info), or any update of the program. I doubt if this is currently possible, and it's not at all urgent, but I figured that perhaps a more code-adept community member may be able to give me a few pointers.
