Noticed with the sunburst if you put it in gear and stomp on the gas the engine revs to 2000 and then builds up to around 5,000 which it stays at, shouldn't it put the clutch down and rev to 5,000 and hold that?
CVTs have a limited ratio spread - when you first launch, it's essentially in 'first' gear, and once it gets to peak RPM, it will then decrease the ratio to keep the RPM in the power band. It wouldn't be able to launch at 5,000 RPM and stay there.
