This is a thread about commercials that are cringey, I will start:

Maybe we can get a youtuber to make a cringe compilation of this?

How about any of the chevy “real people” ads.

    “REAL” people.

    Heh. Yeah right.

A lot of them are misleading with their editing, especially the steel vs aluminum ones.

Yes! I was gonna list that but forgot.

Seriously though, those ads are potentially the worst on TV.

Somehow, even LEXUS has better ads. Go figure.

Chevy. The worst on mainstream cable.
Come in to get a Cruze for 0$ down and 149 per month. Restrictions apply.

Not really a car ad, but still terrible...

Skip to 0:12 (that's when the cringy part begins)

To quote AVGN here, "What were they thinking?!"

Even the comment section dislikes the ad as well.

Having watched it with no audio, it seems kinda cute and nostalgic. Seems to appeal to kids more than anyone else though.

But also seems retarded when you understand the context of this commercial. If you want to sell your autonomous shit well, don't make it a straightaway that poses no dangers (since the trucks never move from their lanes in the video) and any other fucking car can do as well to show off it's technology.

Why not stage a difficult situation? I agree. It’s hardly a test. If you think that’s hard, you shouldn’t be driving

    It's copy-pasta for business!

(There is a copy-pasta where there is a skeleton named bob on the Garry's mod workshop, it's spam.)

It seems like all this Nissan can do is keeping its lane, and that's what it did in the video.
I was more amused by the "Professional driver. Closed course. Do not attempt" notice. Seriously people, never attempt letting your level 1 autonomous vehicle drive between two semis. Especially when the road glows blue.

    Exactly my point.

If you showcase something that any other car can do, it's not really demonstrating the car's technology well.
