Creating a terrain with no heightmap

    I've been working on some static mesh tiles and I think things would be a little more efficient without a height map filling the world with polys that can't be seen. Any info on creating a terrain without one?

    Try adding a Ground Plane from Library > Level > Environment. That could work if it has collision. Otherwise use a low resolution heightmap. If there is no terrain object, collision from the previously loaded terrain is used instead.
