Wouldn't it be a good idea to create a motor cycle like a Ducati, Honda, Suzuki, KTM, ... I'm not experienced enough to do it myself.
It would be nice but it would need stability control to keep it still upright and only allow small leans for cornering. But that's a hell lot of work.
Ok, it could be done somehow, sacrifising camera movement for keyboard and giving big middle finger to steering wheel and controller users. And you have to program it entirely by yourself. Can you see now how hard/impossible/pointless this is?
Ok, it would be fun, but only VERY expirienced modders or devs themselves could be able to do such a stability control and I'm sure devs are concentrated on something else
Maybe they'll add motorcicles in "BeamNG.Ride" then planes in "BeamNG.Fly" and boats in "BeamNG.Sea Nah just kidding
I am not angry, sorry if it sounds like I am. I just ephathize with people who would have to go through hell of programming it. I have a feeling that it would be a lot of work and it wouldn't be worth it (it's a car game after all). At the same time I do not say you mustn't do it, sure, go on if you want, but I am certain devs won't do it now; they have more important things to do, like, finishing the game or something. I dunno. Probably. Czytaj: mam dużo luzu.
People tried, a long time ago. It was practically undriveable without a sidecar to keep it upright. I've often wondered if a jbeamed rider could be added to make it more stable (someone has made a jbeamed skiiing Stig, so it shouldn't necessarily be impossible), but the devs would never do that officially.
Hi together, Bernd has created a nice prototype of a motor cycle. This is running already quite stable. He is using the centrifugal forces provided by Nadeox1. Here is the link to his post and video, have look ... http://www.beamng.com/threads/devel...-a-picture-or-contributing-post.1575/page-395 So it seems to be possible to have a stable riding .
Definitely, on the next page I've posted a video with a working monocycle: This thing is close to finish jbeamwise now, it can steer nicely when driving faster then 9km/h beeing tilted to the side, just like a motorcycle. I guess the main mistake people have been doing in the past was trying to use the two automatically generated wheel types that come with BeamNG, those don't seem to ne useable for bikes. Mine is using a wheel with 32 nodes (64 in total), while normal wheels only have 10 to 20 nodes to keep the performance good. Since the monowheel only has one wheel it's not a big deal there though .
