    Covet Widebody

    (imported from here)

So I finally got around to making a Covet mod, here you have it :)

    Features, awesome sporty widebody kit
    Larger sport wheels
    Adjusted front/rear swaybar/suspension
    New engine!
Added an "Overkill Supercharger" fast fast!
Got rid of the ugly black patch between the rear lights
    And lots more!

This is a separate vehicle, it will not overwrite your original Covet

Same rules as usual, ask for permission before releasing any mods you create based off this car.
    Enjoy :)

(Requires the hatch folder to be intact with all textures, it reads from there to save space)

looks very nice, but it slides all over the place, even driving conservatively.

Here's an idea: make the rally version have intakes on the fender flares, just like all the classic hatchback rally cars.

Looking good, I'll download when I get home.

Request: could you make a version where the fenders are wider? From the pictures, they don't look much wider than the stock ones.

When you switched to the Covet at 2:15, that's not a problem with my car. You were using narwhal2's version of the Widebody(They're completely different).

If you have the stock Covet, you wont get errors when loading my version or when trying to load the original.

I'm aware of the wheel glitch too, I'll release another version to fix those things :)

    Thanks!

Looks good will try this one out as I tried narwhal2 yesterday and it was shaking it's self to bit's.

Edit: Much nicer can't wait to see the updates :)

This mod requires a stock hatch file, the other widebody covet mod alters the stock hatch file hence breaking this one too.

I do love this one, although I might have given it just a minor scuff to the paintwork:

The covet is probably one of the more fun cars to crash, cheap japanese paper mache cars for the win

Oh, quick thing: why's the black panel on the back (between the taillights) missing?

do you use blender? if so, how did you get the edge-split working? i have tried to put a bonnet on the grand marshal, but even with the edge-splits applied, it still rounds off in game. i want to make mods like these for myself, but edge split not working is frustrating me

Omg I love this car. I never liked the Covet in the first place but this totally changes it. More power, better looks, and it's as if the crash physics are boosted. This thing wrecks in such epic ways!

I would like a 300hp variant of the engine, for a realistic rally experience.

Do you know that there is a Overkill Turbo in the Parts Menu?

Yes but that has nothing to do with 300hp, according to the game engine debug this thing produces 1200HP... Plus the turbo would just make it faster...
