Still not great. Try a core i5 or a Ryzen 5.

Here's a video of a beamng running with
    Ryzen 3 3100 and GTX 1650 super
    If you're interested.

Although I do like the idea of a i5 9400f.

I'd suggest you steer clear of Intel and get yourself an AMD chip.

A Ryzen 3 can run BeamNG fairly well, I can do ~4 traffic vehicles and still get about 45 FPS on medium-high settings with an RX 570, at 1080p. I'm not as sure about the Core i3, but Amd's offering works well.

Also, upon further inspection, the Core i3 9100F you're using is comparable to the Ryzen 3 2300X, (what I have) though the Ryzen 3 does get about 1000 more Cpu Mark (https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/Intel-Core-i3-9100F-vs-AMD-Ryzen-3-2300X/3461vs3395)

So your processor should work pretty well, but if you want a better experience, a more recent Core I5 or Ryzen 5 should let you handle a few more traffic vehicles.

The GTX 1650S should work pretty well, I've been thinking about upgrading to one myself (from RX 570), and on medium-high settings I stay at about 50-75+ FPS (My monitor's refresh rate is 75) on most maps.

I bought my son a computer for school (HP 8100 Desktop Computer Intel i5 3.2GHz Processor 16GB Memory 1TB HDD Genuine Windows 10 Professional) and he found beamng but the computer keeps giving us a bunch of error message
I tried to fix it and bought a video card (VisionTek Radeon 5450 2GB DDR3 (DVI-I, HDMI, VGA) Graphics Card - 900356) but it makes the computer freak out

So at this point I just started looking at other computers but i thought what i had bought first i could add to and make a good starter computer for him
BUT i dont want to put out the money and then the new computer not work right either so i thought i would post here and verify that this will work

Intel Core i5-4570 Quad Core Processor 3.20 GHz (overclockable up to 3.60 GHz), 6 MB Cache
NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 2GB Graphics Card, HDMI, DVI | 16 GB DDR3 RAM | 512 GB SSD

I love computers and all that but i have been out of the loop for 10 years and need some help
should i get a new one or can i make this one work?
what would cause the video card to make the computer freak out
