Hi,

I recently updated to 0.33.2.0.17171 (Setup.exe) via Humble Bundle.
An ugly side effect: the in-game repository is not available.

Instead, I get the message:
'Connection to the server could not be established. If this problem persists, please take a look here.'
The 'here' link, unsurprisingly, cannot be clicked.

All troubleshooting attempts have been in vain. The known solutions lead nowhere.

The integrity check flagged the absence of 'vcruntime140_1.dll.'
I uninstalled and extracted BeamNG.drive-0.33.2.0.17171.zip.
Result: The repository is still unavailable.

While 'vcruntime140_1.dll' is no longer missing, the file '/none.json' is now being flagged.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

 

+1 I get the same issue. repo doesn't load or connect at all. if any one has solution or even explanation on what possible reasons.

 

I get that sometimes, the solution I've found is just relaunching your game and then if you check it again, it should load. If that doesn't work, I don't know what to do

I've had this issue for the last week or so, I have also done heavy troubleshooting to no avail. Restarting the game and computer proved to be futile and an integrity check provided no faults.

 

Some stupid dialogue box popped up when I opened the game asking if I should let it communicate on private networks, or just public ones. I wasn't thinking and clicked public only, and ever since the repository won't load since I'm on a private home network. I need to know how to get to that option again so I can undo it!

Edit: I went into the windows firewall and was able to restore access to the private networks for BeamNG, but that didn't seem to make the repo work again. I'm so angry right now, I just want to download a dang mod.

Edit 2: I opened the game through Steam instead of clicking the desktop icon, and it works now.

 

Same here, the game also crashes when I try drag racing in simulation.

 

Confirmed, launching the game through steam seems to fix the connection error.
