Configuring gear splitter switch on sim shifter

With the new update, I have purchased a semi shift knob for my sim shifter. It has a splitter switch on it which I was hoping to use with the T-series, however I can't seem to bind the splitter switch input to function correctly. Using the toggle splitter input will only toggle the splitter when the switch is in the down stroke... which is wrong. I would like to bind the splitter overdrive and splitter direct inputs to the two splitter switch positions on my shifter, but I can't because my PC only recognizes it as one input. An input that can only be on or off. I've seen trucking sims have an option in the input config called "splitter switch mode" to handle this exact problem, but Beam doesn't seem to such an option.

I can't find any mods to fix this, and I've tried some key remapping software, but none of them are recognizing the shift knob as a configurable controller. I'm hoping someone has figured out a workaround, or that the devs will patch in a solution to this soon. I can't imagine I'm the only one with this problem. If someone has a solution, or can recommend a shift knob with a splitter that works properly in Beam, that would be great!

Try this mod: (https://www.beamng.com/threads/t-se...-formerly-twinsteer.95904/page-8#post-1676362) It has HOLD mode and more manual transmissions there. Try the "SVMapper" little program for both on\off switch events translated to single press event.

 

Bump. Having the same issue. Recently purchased a truck range selector & splitter shifter but it only works properly with ATS and ETS2, not BeamNG. I think with a little tweak from the devs it could easiy be made to work with BeamNG as well. Problem is, BeamNG is expecting an input either for a splitter toggle that's far from ideal, or an input for splitter low and a separate input for splitter high, which won't work either because the way the splitter is implemented on the hardware is that it's an on/off switch, not two separate inputs.

 

Actual this is no longer an issue. Not sure when this was added but I see now there's a Set Splitter Mode option and that works perfectly. The only small issue with that is that you can set the splitter while in gear and pressing the throttle. In a real truck, you'd either need to press the clutch or release the throttle.
