All the modern cars have power steering in beamng. Only the older cars dont have them. If you go into the car configuration and go to steering, theres a power steering option you can select for cars that have them like the pessima, vivace etc and it feels very different with power steering. The wheel is a lot more lighter and the bumps are smoother on cars with power steering and on cars that dont have it like the bolide, its very heavy at low speeds and the bumps are much stronger. Power steering is a thing in beamng. Theres even a mod that makes the cars that have power steering automatically equip it when you spawn it.

Yep. You need to use the GTRX wing. From my testing, I learned that the GTXX wing doesn't actually provide any meaningful downforce. It actually handles very nicely around a track with improved downforce.

I already added cylinder deactivation, such a feature (intentional short shifts) would be nice for some sort of "Effizienza" drive-mode...

Beautiful car, i do think the deformation and jbeam could do with a tweak though.. My first impressions were, this car is too damn strong! I like that the rear subframe can detach, that's cool... the actual safety cell is really strong, perhaps this is just how good modern cars are, which is nice i guess compared to older cars in the game.

driving it makes me kinda wish that the drivemodes affected throttle response though.

I love the look of this car, but sadly I can't say the same about driving it. All the variants feel sort of unwieldy, understeering and or oversteering all the time. And they seem to have too little downforce from stock. Also, the brakes are absolutely atrocious. Some of these problems can be fixed with tuning but I don't know how that's done (I'm stupid) but would it really be that hard to get someone who is competent and in the creator program to fix the setups so that the cars are actually driveable? Maybe a certain Australian youtuber who has helped fix ffb before ;)? I really hope the Scintilla's issues are fixed and not just left like the Bastion's jelly subframe bushings.

These stacks look really dope but, unfortunately, they clip through the "Dark Owl Quarter Panels" (they are on the "Rear Body Support" submenu). A version of the Dark Owl Quarter Panels with a cut area to allow for the stacks to pass through would be perfect for this problem.

To all the people complaining about the braking performance: i have done some testing, the awd variant, afaik the fastest to 100 kmh. Accelerates from 0-100 in about 2.7 seconds in about 40 meters it brakes from 100-0 in about 2.7 seconds in about 35 meters. Modern cars are always limited by their grip levels and abs tuning when braking, so the brakes itself can't be the issue, an issue that doesn't even exist as the the acceleration and braking times are within error and the braking distance is even shorter. Since tires have roughly the same grip when accelerating and decelerating, you'd expect to have roughly the same times when accelerating and decelerating while having no limitations of braking and engine torque and the TC and ABS perform the same... This is confirmed in the game. Conclusion: the braking works fine, learn to be a better driver...

its the traction control that makes the brakes seem like they suck, just turn it off and it brakes perfectly fine

I also did a test with the high end sbr4, which has the same braking time

I'm not sure why they don't spawn that way in the vanilla game... pretty unrealistic if you ask me.

I also tested this: while driving straight the distances and times are the same, while driving a turn on the limit the braking distance is consistently 10-15% better with assists enabled then with them disabled. TC shouldn't be interfering while braking anyway as it's only engaged while accelerating (stopping wheelspin=>Traction Control) ESC however engages while sharply turning, this is what I tested, the conclusion I came to: ESC slightly improves braking performance in corners.

Afaik it's a proper power steering simulation which inherently adds a delay to the ffb making it less direct. I tend to add it for the heavier vehicle to make them more comfortable to drive. If you don't like to add them always, there is a mod to automatically add it when spawning the car

I tested it with and without the TC yesterday and with the TC on it seems to brake slower but with it off it's better

I found a bug where the cars headlights are awful, comparing them to the sbr4, it looks like the headlights are off of a cheap quad off amazon rather than a high performance super car.

I think what this car needs is some frontal downforce on the stock versions of the car. Currently, the only FUNCTIONAL front splitter is the Nomi GTRX one, and it looks hilariously out of place on the stock versions. The devs should add some other, more subtle splitters to the car. I hope the devs see this post.

There's also a bug in the ABS, is that if you step on the brake pedal hard right after a rapid acceleration, the ABS will gets overwhelmed and the braking force will be capped to only 0.6G
