Like always Gabester, your cars are outstanding, one thing that "noobish-me" sees is that the floorpan or "underwork" looks pretty mutch like a SAAB Sonett.
Have you taken inspiration from that?

Actually I took more inspiration from the Miura show chassis, I guess it's just a coincidence that it's similar to the Sonett.

In french, a "bolide" is anything that is very fast, especially a car, so that name fits perfectly.

As far as the actual bodywork, yeah, the 308, BB, and other Ferraris were some of my main "target cars" as well as the DeTomaso Pantera and Mangusta.

Also, not really much to show, but most of the modeling is now complete. The parts all have their undersides modeled, the basic interior is modeled (floor/roof/etc), and every gap has been filled. I still have to model the engine, windshield wipers, a couple other minor things, and then UV and texture it. Then I'll do the actual interior stuff like the dashboard, seats, steering wheel, etc.

Looks awesome! Would prefer to see some wider taillights, Testa Rossa style though... And centered twin or 2 twin exhausts on the sides or something from through a hole/2 holes in the rear end :p

Couldn't imagine a better supercar design other than that though...

Are you serious? The Fiero is a fine example of 80's American engineering. Also, since you mentioned the Ferrari 308, have you heard of the Pontiac Mera? Beautiful car! It looked exactly like the 308 with a Fiero engine. In fact, it looked so much like the 308 that Ferrari forced them to stop production. It was still an awesome car, and wouldn't have (wouldn'tv'e?) been made if the Fiero wasn't made.

There are some minor visual differences, but still. VERY similar.

I can't deny that: American cars in the 80's were unreliable. They looked cool though. The Fiero almost like a Corvette squished down to look like an MR2. And also, I completely understand your opinion, and it's a good one too. ;)

I love 80's cars, but I can't look at that one and not say, "Please, just put it out of its misery..." :p That thing is...well...hideous. BeamNG should make one just so we can wreck it!

Oh yeah, the Buick Reatta. One of my favorite horrible cars.

Yep, pretty terrible car. Had to applaud (with laughter) at their CTR touchscreen attempt, which was innovative but horribly useless in the 80s, haha.

Touch screen? Really? Maybe that's where iPhones come from. Anyway, it's still a terrible car. I wonder if it drives well though. It might be one of those "secretly nice" cars. ;)

Buick Reatta looks sort of like a sport car from the outside, but, underneath it was still a front wheel drive E-Body car, it handles about as good as it's proportion really, It's a good thing GM didn't manage to get gearbox strong enough for Turbocharging like they planned, the handling would be even worse.

Why are we talking about craps from the 1980s anyway? I'm sure Civetta Bolide is a much better car than Fieros and Reattas were.
