    You're up for some feedback?

If you could change some of them to make them more realistic it would be interesting. Pistons and rods give more strenght, crankshaft has an effect same of a lighter flywheel, and changing the valvetrain increases the RPM.

I'm up for all feedback. This mod is such a pain in the rear... I actually deleted it as soon as I uploaded it because It caused me so much trouble getting the parts to work correctly.
As soon as I saw all the rating I decided to re-download the mod and have another crack at it. I'm having no luck whatsoever though.
I could explain the problems but no one would know what I'm on about :)

I would know since I've done the valvetrain pistons crankshaft "ecu" and supercharger with pulleys

    I meant ingame problems :)
the custom config for the car is trying to use different parts to what is set.
I cant get the camshafts to work. Racing should have 8000 RPM and idle at 1000
    Pistons seem to work
    Rods I cant tell yet.

Well no. I wouldn't know the issues.

The thing about valvetrain is that they are the first thing that break at high RPM, but before the springs break they have an effect of valve float, reducing torque.

Valvetrain and ignition timing together make up the peak torque and the torque curve itself.

If its easier, just make conrods and pistons a single part. People that do engines count them as single parts and when you buy pistons most of the shops give you pistons with rods unless you ask for high performance pistons.

That way you could have the parts watered down to crank, pistons, valvetrain, and maybe cyl heads that define the consumption and MPG of the engine?

Surely better pistons don't add power. They just allow for higher speed and pressure from the intake and combustion?

In a way yes. They give more compression.

Only some pistons. Their main job in improved materials is just to resist better power tho. Different shaped pistons give different advantages and disadvantages on airflow and combustion but its a mess to talk about when the pistons provide more power or less.

For some reason when I load the config for the GM, it just doesn't work. It shows that it has no fuel and the engine doesn't turn on.

Does it work if you change the parts to race?

Is this for all cars, because so far I have only found the ETK I-Series has the engine, but even though its one, I absolutely love it. Awesome drag car.

I noticed in the jbeam file it is bit repetitive with the airbox beam and node names, you don't need as much info as you have, but assuming with the work that will continue to go into this I assume it will get cleaned up, but that is what I noticed :p
I am just comparing it to my work
we will both benefit from the (hopefully coming) coding update for variables like "RPMLimit" : 5800+2200 so it would equal out to the 8000
    Good luck
