Hello everyone! I'm happy to introduce to you my pack of license plates for a selection of nine Central European countries.
So far, it includes 12 plate designs - all of them are standard registration plates:
    • Austria (2002-now)
    • Croatia (2016-now)
    • Czechia (2004-now)
    • Germany (1994-now), regular font (Mittelschrift)
    • Germany (1994-now), narrow font (Engschrift)
    • Hungary (2004-2022)
    • Hungary (2022-now)
    • Poland (2006-now)
    • Romania (2007-now)
    • Slovakia (2006-2022)
    • Slovakia (2023-now)
    • Slovenia (2008-now)
Some of these countries' plates may have been also made by other people, but in my mod, I've tried to create them with a more realistic look. All of the designs can be seen in the banner - it uses real screenshots of registration plates from the game.

Every plate design includes EU and US size versions (though US versions may not exist in real life for every country), as well as 34x21 cm double-row plates (requires -Smaen-'s Norwegian License Plate Mega Pack) and 30x21 double-row plates (requires AdamPLGames' Polish License Plate Design). JorgePinto's European License Plates Compilation mod is required for support of different rear plates, referred to as "yellow plates" (as German and Czech plates include a technical inspection sticker only on the rear plate).

For every country's plate, I've tried to create an accurate random number generator that takes into account the current progress of plate issue for countries and regions.

More plate types (vintage, electric, temporary, export, diplomatic, etc.), as well as older plates will be made in the future. I'll upload the first version of mod to the repository probably after I make two first plate types for every country.

Formats of numbers and remarks for every country can be seen below:

    Austria:
    Number format:
    W!12345 A or VI#123 AB
    1 or 2 first letters: regional code (e.g. W - Wien, VI - Villach).
    Special symbol: coat of arms (! - Wien, @ - Burgenland, # - Kärnten, $ - Niederösterreich, % - Oberösterreich, ^ - Salzburg, & - Steiermark, * - Tirol, ( - Vorarlberg, ) - Austrian coat of arms, _ - Fire rescue)

    Croatia:
    Number format:
    ZG*1234-AB or RI*1234-A
2 first letters: regional code (e.g. ZG - Zagreb, RI - Rijeka)
    Asterisk: Croatian coat of arms

Both 7 and 8 characters plates are supported (with dynamic character spacing). Characters with diacritical marks: Č, Š, Ž are also supported, as they're part of some regional codes.

    Czechia:
    Number format:
    1A2-3456 or 1AB-2345
    First letter: regional code (e.g. A - Praha, T - Moravskoslezský kraj)
    Dash: place for stickers

Also supporting 8-character personalized plates. Rear license plates include a red technical inspection sticker in the top (formerly there were 2 stickers there, but now only the top one is in use) - select "Yellow EU license plate" as a plate format.

    Germany:
    Number format:
    B!CD 1234
or DO)AB 1234 (second letter group: 1-2 characters, digit group: 1-4 characters, no leading zeros) - max. 8 characters total
First 1-3 letters: regional code (e.g. B - Berlin, DO - Dortmund, WOB - Wolfsburg)
    Special symbol: place for stickers (! - Berlin, @ - Baden-Württemberg, # - Bayern, $ - Brandenburg, % - Bremen, ^ - Hamburg, & - Hessen, * - Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, ( - Niedersachsen, ) - Nordrhein-Westfalen, _ - Rheinland-Pfalz, + - Saarland, = - Sachsen, { - Sachsen-Anhalt, } - Schleswig-Holstein, [ - Thüringen, ] - German coat of arms)

Select "Mittelschrift" variant for 7 or less characters and "Engschrift" for 8 characters.
For police (format: BP]12.345) and diplomatic (format: 0-12 345) plates, a dash (-) and half-dash (.) can be inserted. To make a half-width space, a slash (/) can be used, for example before "H" and "E" letters at the end of number (that indicate a historic or electric vehicle).
Rear license plates also include a technical inspection sticker at the top - select "Yellow EU license plate" as a plate format.

    Hungary:
    2004-2022 number format:
    ABC-123
    2022-now number format:
    AE*BC-123
Asterisk - Hungarian coat of arms

    Poland:
    Number format:
WE 123ac or wpr 1234a (actually there are 5 formats for 2-letter regional codes and 9 formats for 3-letter regional codes)
    First 2 or 3 letters: regional code (e.g. WE - Warszawa-Mokotów, WPR - Pruszków County), first letter denotes a province (e.g. W - Mazovia, S - Silesia)
    Space: registration sticker

Personalized plates are also supported (they consist of a province letter, a number from 0-9 and 3 to 5 letters, 1 or 2 last of them may be digits instead).
Polish registration numbers are case-sensitive, because plates use 2 sets of letters: wide font (capital letters) for regional codes and narrow font (small letters) for other letters. Since 2018, only narrow font is used. The character spacing is determined automatically by the generator, I've tried .

    Romania:
    Number format:
    B 123 ABC or CJ 12 ABC
    First 1 or 2 letters: regional code (e.g. B - București, CJ - Cluj-Napoca)

In case there isn't enough space for all characters, narrow variants of letters "M" and "A" can be used - it's determined automatically by the generator.

    Slovakia:
    2006-2022 number format:
    BL-123AB
    2023-now number format:
    AB-123 CD
First 2 letters: regional code (e.g. BL - Bratislava, KE - Košice). In 2023 format, there's no longer a regional coding.
    Dash: Slovak coat of arms

Note the space between letters and numbers in the 2023 format.

    Slovenia:
    Number format:
    LJ!AB-123
First 2 letters: regional code (e.g. LJ - Ljubljana, MB - Maribor)
    Special symbol: town/city coat of arms. As there's 58 of different shields in use, I've included only 11 of them corresponding to the regional codes (! - Ljubljana, @ - Celje, # - Nova Gorica, $ - Krško, % - Koper, ^ - Kranj, & - Maribor, * - Murska Sobota, ( - Novo Mesto, ) - Postojna, _ - Slovenj Gradec)

In case of any issues and suggestions, please let me know in the comments. Please keep in mind, that it's my first BeamNG.drive mod. I hope you'll like it!

Absolutely amazing!!! I wanted to do some of the countries included as well, but I guess there's no longer the need to do so ;)

Oh and also: I noticed you forgot to include the German registration code of my home, the Odenwald (ERB), in the randomized generator code, so maybe you could add this...

Thank you so much! The next version of my mod will also include vintage and electric vehicle license plates for all of these countries (providing these plate versions exist, of course). For now, I've already done them for Poland, Czechia and Slovakia (both 2006 and 2023) - it might take a few days to release.
Talking about the regional codes, countries like Germany and Poland use a very big number of them (for Poland, it's ~400 codes and Germany uses ~700 of them). Next version will feature every German district code that is currently issued (it will be easy to implement, because numbers are probably given out randomly, so I don't have to check which combinations have been issued so far). For Poland, it's a bit more complicated, because I'm trying to recreate the current progress of issue for every county and match the character widths to the year of issue (as it was changed in 2018) - for electric and vintage plates I've made a number generator only for top 30 regional codes by number of plates issued.
Here are some screenshots from my current progress:

Congrats, very nice mod! Alphanumeric symbols are very detailed. It would be very cool if other Slovak license plates were added to the mod. I mean types from 1997 (1st type without euro-stripe and with dash) and 2004 (2nd type with euro-stripe and with dash). The font is the same as 2006 type. Those are not in the plan?

    Hello everyone!
I haven't replied since quite a long time, because I had some other work to do (not related to BeamNG.drive).
Yes, this mod is still work in progress, since then I made following plates:
    • Austria, electric vehicles (2017-)
    • Hungary, electric vehicles (2015-2022 & 2022-now)
    • Hungary, oldtimer (1990-2022 & 2022-now)
    • Hungary, commercial/taxi plates (2004-2022 & 2022-now)
    In progress:
    • Poland, standard plates (2000-2006) - number generator & graphics for some sizes to do.
    • Poland, small 305x114 mm plates (2018-now) - for US sized plates - number generator to do.
    They can be seen below:

There are also some types of plates that have the same look (like Czech electric vehicle or Croatian antique car plates), but have different number generators.
I think I'll upload new version of my mod in the end of January. I see you can't wait for the new version!

alifjeem31, I haven't abandoned the mod, it's still work in progress. I just haven't logged in to the forums since like 2 months, so I didn't know about new replies in this thread.
olilo, Yes, old designs of Slovak plates can be done, it won't take a long time to create them since they use the same font.

Thanks. Very nice work, can't wait! If you need advice or a sample of all issued types of Slovak license plates, I will be happy to help. There is a page where the individual types are clearly illustrated. Good luck with your work!

Hello. Since last release, I've made some progress with the mod. This time I'm presenting Austrian and Croatian plates!

Currently, I'm creating other types of currently issued Czech plates. For Germany, only export and short-time temporary plates will be added, because, from my personal knowledge, there is a very big German plates mod that's in early stage of progress.
Stay tuned for future pictures and updates!

The same with old Slovak plates from 1997-2004. Technical inspection stickers had to be only on the rear license plates.

Yup. What I also recommend from my personal experiences is watching videos of people driving in the country. It often lets you see plates not mentioned on the "main" websites and it's more efficient than clicking through countless of images ;)
