You ever initially consider a car to look weird or ugly, but eventually started liking its look? For me that happened with the Hyundai Veloster.
W124 and Mk2 Golf. When I was a child, I considered them ugly. They were everywhere during my childhood. Now I even like their styling a bit. Today, W124s are still everywhere, but I don't remember when I last saw a Golf 2.
my grandma's VW golf movie from 1997 (basically the gti model but with 5 door body, a bit softer suspention and 5 hp less). i used to consider it ugly but when my family said that i'd have to choose, as my future first car, between that or a 2006 1.4 fiat idea with 60 hp i started to consider it more and now i think is a good piece of industrial design.
The current Lexus design language. At first, it seemed weird and chaotic, but now it looks fresh, daring and dynamic to me.
I remember being younger and not being a big fan of the 1994 to 1998 bodystyle of Mustangs. Lo and behold my dad ended up buying a 1995 Mustang GT when I was in the later years of elementary and began to like them. Then he bought a 1996 Mustang GT and that was the last straw. It's now my favourite bodystyle of Mustang, and I actually now own the '96 GT he bought.
well, not really a car, but i love the pre-facelift scania pgr cabs (aka the 5 series), they look very good to me
I used to hate the old Sisu trucks, as I had family that lived in rural Finland, and we'd visit them every summer. I'd see them and turn my head, I guess I didn't really like them. I've since grew up and realized that they're actually really cool trucks. I used to especially hate the M-162, but I've come to like it, especially the ones with the Rolls-Royce diesels.
BMW X6 and X4. At first, I though they were ugly and overstyled. Now, I think they're good-looking cars, and among the best I can comfortably take a seat in at my height.
