SOLVED Career Mode - Dude, Where's My Car?

Great, just great. Now I'm having a bug on the forums too.

Alright, let's re-create what I had in the original post before the forums decided to duplicate and then update themselves.

So, I'm writing this with the full understanding that Career Mode is still experimental, and that it's subject to certain quirks. But on my very first attempt to save progress, I was standing outside a dealership after having just dropped off a delivery in my ETK. When I loaded the save, the ETK was gone, and a little pop-up window told me that I had abandoned all my current deliveries.



Where's my car? Is it gone, or back at the garage? If the latter, how do I get back there, short of walking across the entire map?

Okay... well, after walking halfway across the map to a dealership where I could afford to buy a car, look what I discover:



...The ETK I was driving earlier has somehow magically teleported back to the garage. I'm going to buy this new car and drive to see it. It's a pity that I seem unable to call a taxi or board the bus.

I drove to the garage, and ... it's not here either:





It's not inside the garage, it's not outside the garage, it's not in that little 5-bay storage shed that would conveniently match my available slots... I have no clue what happened to my ETK.

Well, it worked! I have an ETK again!

...And I'm just now realizing that the service station next to the garage was saved as a quicktravel point all along inside the logbook, which would have spared me a lot of time and trouble if I'd known about it.

 

hey bro , i have 2 cars right now , and my problem is that when i was playing a flock of pigeons mission my game crashed when i rejoined my etk daily was missing , but my modded supra mk4 was there! on my in-game laptop i pressed the my vehicles button and it said 'you currently dont own any vehicles! help me pls!

 

Having this problem as well. I followed a YouTube tutorial which ended in my save file permanently loading when I try to launch it. This problem has reoccurred 3 times in the 4 days I’ve been playing career. From now on I’m just going to delete my corrupt save file, make a new one, and edit my file to give me enough money to buy/ modify my vehicles to how I had them originally. If anyone finds a way to restore the save or avoid this glitch I’d love to hear it. I understand that career mode is suuuper early access and these glitches are guaranteed, but I’m still disappointed in how slow development is moving on this high potential game mode. Im finding evidence of this glitch from over a year ago, I feel like it’s something that could be patched in a matter of weeks. It seems like career mode gets almost no attention from devs. Still love the game, still love the game mode. Will continue to play it, but damn it’s frustrating lol.
