Cant make a new map

for the last few hours ive been trying to make a map , i have followed this tutorial since this is the latest tutorial on this subject but when i try to load the map it loads forever , can someone make a turorial on how to make a map.
And with that i mean the begin of the map so its empty. thanks.

 

Load what map? Are you trying to load your own, a modded map, or an official map? Please specify, because at the moment, I can't understand what you're trying to do.

 

At 4:24 im loading my new own empty base map , but at that point the maps just loads forever i never spawn in my map but in the video he does. thanks for repley, i really want to make a map but i cant seem to get it to work

 

How did you make it? Also, does the file structure conflict with any other maps. If you wouldn't mind, could you upload the file so we can take a look?

 

i have the 3 files but i cant upload them here , i get the error invalid extension , cant even zip them and upload the zip here ffs

oke i uploaded them somewhere else , keep in mind these 3 files are in the folder Tutorial just as in the video

Oke i got it to work , i followed every step of this tutorial https://wiki.beamng.com/Starting_a_new_map_project and it worked on the first try.

 

Always check the console (~ key on US keyboards), if you have an error, you want the least amount of RED text possible.

 

oke thanks , anyway now comes the hardest part, wtf should i make i dont really have a idea, so ideas are welcome , but not too hard , im a noob with the editor

 

Go play some of the other driving games and find something you like and make a map out of stuff like that. I made highways. That works for me. You can always use the road textures from my maps but DO know that scripting them isn't the easiest thing to do the 1st time around, and that some of my maps have 1gb of road textures alone, so don't just copy the whole directory, take just what you need.

Or go on the net and look up some pictures of roads or cities or towns or something, and make that into life in the game.
