Hello everyone, I've already asked for help on the Discord server but unfortunately no one has answered me. Now I'll try it here. My problem is the following: I downloaded a mod from the internet and unfortunately the mod is not finished yet. I wanted to add the missing things myself and finish the mod for myself. But I can't find the .dae file in the attached mod folder. Is it possible to create a mod without .dae. Just for your information, I'm new to the modding scene myself and have very little experience. I thought I could start with my favorite car to gain experience, but unfortunately it's more difficult than I thought. I hope one of you can help me. If possible, I prefer to communicate in german. Thanks in advance.
But I can play and drive with it in game. So there has to be a model in the folder but I'm unable to find it.
The mod uses a .dts file to save the model which is the model format Torque3D uses. BeamNG is based on Torque3D and, despite being an almost entirely new game engine, currently still supports it. There are no good ways to import such files into blender, unfortunately.
Can you give me an example which file that is. Because I see no .dts ending in the folder. --- Post updated --- I found it. It wants to use VLC Media Player to open that file XD. Thanks I hope I find a way to open that file and modify it. Thank you.
