Can only spawn as observer

When I click on play and I select a map I recieve this error message a split second before the level loads "Unable to create a player with class BeamNGVehicle and datablock default_vehicle. Starting as an Observer instead." When I load into the game I do not have a vehicle... Ive restarted the program and I get the same error message. Please Help!

 

First run the updater. If that fails, then uninstall and reinstall the game.

Iv'e had a similar problem but as I'm now using the updated steam version of the game the updater is obsolete, and yes I have tried to uninstall and reinstall but I have had no luck there either due to steam cloud backing up the broken version of the game. So I really need some sort of fix for this as I am literally dumbfounded about this problem now.

 

same thing here , i have no idea why on earth this happened , i installed , uninstalled , delted game files ect... i have no idea what to do and i happen to find no solution anywhere...

 

Can also try to verify the integrity of the game through steam. Could be less painful than going through and deleting everything. Although you should always clear out the folder in my documents for any update of this game.
