Hi, I've spent about an hour last night making a rally circuit on the Utah map in freerom. The only modifications made were adding vechiles and props along the course. Also some static signs from the hirochi raceway map. I added the objects, props, and vechiles with the world editor. Now I was wondering if it was possible to be able to save the placement of all this stuff so I can reload it later so I don't have to spend an hour placing everything down again. I tried saving as a level in the world editor, but when I try to open it, the world goes white for a while (however the editor ui stays the same) then the whole game crashes.

Edit: I never added waypoints because I'd like to just play in freerom.

You'll need to change the paths and store the map separately so it doesn't conflict.

Is there a guide for this somewhere? I'm not sure what you mean.

He means you'll have to copy the entire Utah folder into your documents/Beamng path. If you don't do this Beam simply loads the official Utah map and disregards any changes you made. The game crashes because you didn't create a new map to avoid conflicts.
So essentially, if you want to save your course as something besides a scenario, you'll need to be creating a map (for which there are dozens of tutorials around here for.) Luckily you don't have to make one from scratch, simply re-using (and re-naming) everything from the Utah.zip should work just fine.

However, I would really suggest making a scenario for this. It'll be a lot less hassle and you could always just go into freeroam once you were finished with it.

I ended up making a scenario like dunwolf suggested. It's good enough for what I'm doing so that is my solution.
