I would recommend blender, it's free, and it's one of the simplest to use in my opinion, all the others cost a load of money
Wrong year mate! I'm looking at a MK7 Golf (2012-Present), but thanks anyway! I don't think there will be any blueprints for the vehicle as it is still in production, but I can get all the measurement's I need luckily, as my dad owns a MK7 Golf.
Probs blender --- Post updated --- Yeah and I'm not rich so i'll be sticking to blender --- Post updated --- Is it for the Golf S or a performance Golf such as the GTI or R?
I have found the blueprints and I am sure I could make a model (if I knew how to model), by referencing from the blueprints and occasionally running out onto the driveway with a tape measure.
Usually problem is that you have a goal and you want to reach that goal, however goal is too high to be reached right away. To get to goal, you might need smaller goals that build up what you need so you can reach that main goal. Modeling itself is not really that hard, in Blender you can press 'n' and you get panel that shows exact coordinates, then you can place each vertex exactly where you want, however even best models will not be so accurate. There are a lot harder and more time consuming aspects in making car for Beam than model itself, but to be able to make a model, you need to first get used to modeling and that of course takes time and effort. Try making a map, build objects for the map, those you can make with very little experience from modeling. That will help you to get used to modeling in more fun way than just trying to learn those big steps while climbing them. Low poly simple shapes are really great to start.
Very true actually. I will start to learn from the basics in modelling and work my way up. May take a few years xD. Small steps.
