Buy and fix beat up cars

Hey guys, in the steam greenlight trailer for BeamNG;



There's a part at 0:55 that says "Buy and fix beat up cars" does this mean there adding a feature were you can fix cars?!

I think that it going to be added, because they also said stuff about carrier mode, so you got an amount of money, and you have to buy a car so you can possibily buy an used vehicle and buy new parts for it etc. That's what I think.

 

I think it's going to be SLRR style.

I noticed this too when I say the video. I think this would be a really cool feature, especially If they integrate things like different electrical and mechanical problems. I think it would be kinda fun to buy cars that may have all kind of problems you don't know about. It could be kind of like a Top Gear used car challenge or like a Roadkill throw a dart on a map, buy a dirt cheap 30 year old car, and drive it home. I look froward to this feature.

 

When I watched that video, my body tingled and I got a little TOO excited. Boing!!

 

There was a lot of talk about this way back before the game was released. This was like right around when I joined, and before that. It just kinda got kicked under the rug I guess. The devs plan to have mini games, some kind of in-game currency, and car markets. You buy a crappy old car, win races, upgrade, court women, profit. The thing that I am undoubtedly the most excited about is the in-depth engine damage and such. It would be so cool to bust your radiator and have the car slowly over-heat, or screw up an alternator and not be able to shut the car off, because you can't start it back. *heavy breathing*
EDIT: Vancakes. Lol. I've seen that video at least 5 times and that's the first time I've noticed that.

 

well if the career mode ends up having a garage to remove and add parts to your car and an inventory of parts, like SLRR... then I happened to know a few people on my website that would buy this game in a heart beat.

well, in that case, tell your user's, to stop posting screenshots of russian mods, as i'm fairly certain the beamng devs don't want those kinds of mods floating around the internet, as people may think they're allowed, even though they most certainly are NOT

the rules here don't apply over there DUDE.

they don't want mods using meshes from other games on this forum because they don't want to be held accountable from the original publishers.

on my site, i don't care, there has never been a problem and if there is then we remove the file when asked too, nobody is going to care about a PICTURE. stop being annoying.

@ Fixing parts like in SLRR which i never played,
if i understand the videos i just saw right, you have a garage with all owned cars, the damage is persistent and you can fix cars by swapping fitting parts from one car to another? oO

 

The gameplay in short is pretty much that... you buy a car, you race it in the city against AI controlled racers, or ricers


You win money for races u can use to upgrade or fix your car. when you crash the car it stays crashed until you fix it.

The game was $20 and was a "value" game, so the idea was awesome the execution was bad, the source code is mumbo jumbo.

If beamNG pulls it off, it will be great.

Think car mechanic + slrr into BeamNG... would be amazing.
