The current FFB is so awful i can hardly use my G29 with 0.32. It literally moves on its own its so bad. Can we atleast have a classic option?
It's meant to move on its own tho, can you explain the issue in more detail? It shouldn't have changed that much from before
Hey, could you please give more details on what is that you don't like? Whole idea of a force feedback wheel is that it produces forces on your irl wheel as the forces get applied to the steering system of the in game car. Specific test case and expected as well as actual results to said test would be welcome Also, please paste a support ID number here: https://supportid.beamng.com/ Thanks
I'm really pleased with the FFB tweaks personally, general feel is great and everything feels alots smoother. Can really feel what the front end is upto and oversteer situations are alot more natural to catch and correct. Great step in the right direction in my opinion.
The steering-lock system and the strength should be working correctly. Are you using any mods, can you try using Safe Mode instead? And please paste a support ID number as requested when you can, otherwise it'll be hard for us to help you. Thanks!
No mods used. --- Post updated --- time to wait a few hours Edit: Found a way to revert it to normal Used GHUB and enabled centering spring for non forcefeedback games (disabling ffb) and that was fine. Still will paste a support id however, since i dont really wanna load up ghub everytime i wanna play the game. --- Post updated --- Never mind. --- Post updated --- Another issue: I assign my wheel to it and then it just removes the binding, why?
Perhaps he means spontaneous rocking of the steering wheel, especially when the car is barely moving, sometimes when standing... I and my friends have this problem, before it was not so pronounced, perhaps the problem will fix the friction function in the steering wheel driver, I will have to try, but the fact that the steering wheel has become more loose it has a place, although personally for me the speed of feedback played a big role in a positive sense). I think it is worth adding resistance in ffb when parking and very slow movement, it will fix the problem, if possible, another point to improve ffb, how about adding a kind of small vibration on the steering wheel when the car slides sideways, it will give a huge boost of realism for racing, now in the game there is no information on the steering wheel that the car carries sideways... the steering wheel just goes blank,
Can you make a better FFB for Gamepads/Controllers? The "FFB" makes the controller shake only when steering, and when it works, over 30 mph, it vibrates the controller like you hit a wall at 100 MPH. I was thinking something along the lines of, vibrate when loss of traction, drifting, and collisions.
is Ghub active? as far as I know, it is required for force feedback to work properly on logitech wheels. Chances are, without it it may not be detected as ffb device
I personally had to increase the smooth parameter quite a bit. But I really like the new implementation a lot.
I had 80 before the update but with the new version it was somehow too noisy. I’m more towards the 200 now. I put strength and smoothness to buttons on my streamdeck so I can easily adjust it while driving to get the values right.
Personally I run 10-20 on Moza R9, instead of 30-40 previously. This last update reduces vibration for me so I can run lower and get better input latency. But I lean extremely heavily towards low latency (good responsiveness) at the cost of living with vibrations, so I can understand people choosing smoother values as high as 50-200.
Hey, you know about the FFB effects tuner in Pithouse right? I set all road effects to 50% in lieu of more smoothing
