sooo ive been playing beam ng for awhile and im a huge car enthusiast just like most people that play, but theres one thing thats got me wondering for some time now "why has't anyone created and posted a working and modeled boost gauge soo im starting my modeling and texture journey here. i wanna make and publish to the public a working boost gauge as an addon to cars that have a turbo. The only issue is i know with some time i can model and texture a boost gauge but i know nothing when it comes to coding so im on a hunt for someones help to create this mod
You need this: https://wiki.beamng.com/Props Also check out semi truck files as it has working boost gauge. It is not that hard to code actually, you should be able to learn to do it even without much experience, also if you want my boost gauge to look how I made it, you can ask. It does not have glowmaps though, those require some transparent texture painting skills which I do not posses:
im still not sure exactly what to do... i tried making my own model which didnt work out very well any chance i can get that model from you? im also not sure like to add glowmaps or how to make it to a specific car. and advice on how to do either of those or where to go to learn? andddd one last question lol what did you use to make the gauge?? blender is pretty hard to learn
Blender and Power Point, but some people know how to make numbers etc in Blender Just make a cylinder, remove one of the cap faces, add a circle, that is very simple to make in Blender. Search Blender cheat sheet to help you learn the keys, as Blender is used with key combos. Also from YT search for simple house in a Blender tutorial for absolute beginners or something like that, it will not have complexity of round shapes to deal with to start learning. Wiki is good place to start, you need to make lot of things you don't want to in order to learn stuff enough well to be able to do what you want to do: https://wiki.beamng.com/Introduction_to_Vehicle_Creation Also here is some information that might help to learn things: https://www.beamng.com/threads/tutorials-index-list-of-useful-guides.51454/ This is probably one of the easiest to do and you will learn about folder structures etc. in it: https://www.beamng.com/threads/tuto...ent-windows-to-automation-exported-car.56414/ It will just take some time to learn all the stuff needed and it really is worth it to spend few months learning these things as then you will have freedom to create what you want.
