I mean, look, circuit racing and rally stuff are perfectly legitimate things to aim for, but let's face it, beamNG is known for crash physics, and the derbies I've engaged in in the mod are by far the most realistic demolition derbies I've ever experienced in gaming. I've spent at least an hour or more using that mod, well, when it's possible to use it. See, another reason I think this should become part of the official package is that maybe then the large updates won't break the menu anymore. But more importantly, ignoring this would basically let wreckfest have a monopoly on the destruction derby racing genre, and monopolies are not good for anyone. And then you throw in the Realistic Derby Project mod, and suddenly no derby game in existence is more realistic due to the car designs and the physics going on in the thing. And even if neither of these become official content (I mean, most game studios don't incorporate mods into official content even when the mods fix major bugs or otherwise massively improve the game), I still think demolition derbies and banger racing should get more of a shake when it comes to official content because I have always wanted a realistic destruction derby simulator and BeamNG outpaces every other game in regards to the potential of that actually happening. Furthermore, these types of races would also be entirely realistic additions given that they happen in real life. Here's some links.
