Currently, sorting by "most downloaded" gives you mods that are broken and so old they no longer make sense to use. It's a common thing for download repositories in general to have this setting, but as the years pass it makes less and less sense if you can't filter out the garbage. Let me sort by "Most downloaded this year", "Most downloaded this month", or even advanced filters such "Last updated, minimum 10k downloads". "Only show beta" "Only show full releases" etc etc.
