Whenever I use the search engine on this site I can't find anything. It either gives me something completely unrelated, vaguely related, or comes with no results. Is it possible to have it powered by Google?
Just use Google at that point. You can tell it to search only on a specific site by adding 'site:www.beamng.com' to the search. If you use the search on the forum, the 'Search Titles only' option may be helpful.
The search titles option is a good addition but it should "search titles" by default since it is 2-3x more helpful then a full search. Indeed "search titles only" is more popular when searching for anything, this is one of the golden rules of search engines like Google, Yahoo, Altavista, etc. search titles only and search full secondary.
Thanks! It was always frustrating to search for a mod, and that mod's popularity causes everyone to talk about it, making the results show every instance of for example "Blue Bird School Bus" would bring up pages for me. Edit: I just searched "School Bus" to test it but I had to type "Schoolbus" to find it, even though the title of the thread is "Blue Bird American School Bus". This is kind of what I wanted fixed as well.
