I want to get a proper sim racing game on PC because BeamNG doesn't scratch the itch of a track driving game for me. I'm curious to hear if anyone has suggestions. Is Assetto Corsa a good one to pick up? Or something else?
If your PC really a potato,I suggest Live For Speed. Advantages:Free for download,low requirement for PC performance(because it came out in 2003),etc. Disadvantages:No authorized cars,too outdated under today's standard Average PC:Assetto Corsa Advantages: Dozens of mods/addons,authorized cars/tracks,good at car simulation Disadvantages:Handling isn't very good for game console and keyboard(after all it is a simulator rather than a game).You'd better play it with steering wheel
Buy Assetto Corsa Ultimate on Steam (on offer at the moment), then get Content Manager and do some googling to update the game to December 2023 spec with CSP and Pure. Most mods are free. The best ones are paid for but only +/- $5 Assetto drift community is amazing. Shutoku Project is incredible. Realistic racing solutions for Formula, GT, LeMans, Historics and now Karting with ACKarting from ProSimCentre... There's nothing that can match AC today and its a 2014 game!!
