Hey all, I run a small YouTube channel under the same name, it's a bit dead right now because of my work hours but I was wondering what the best settings would be to record game footage. I use OBS but when I edit the video sometimes it gets grainy under heavy motion. I watch Neil's videos and his are c r i s p y. I know he has a better computer but I was just wondering if anyone has a meter on any in game settings that might help with the overall quality or even OBS side changes I can make.
select the advanced mode in the streaming/recording option, switch to recording tab, crank up the bitrate to around 10k or 15k, depending on your gpu, better gpu, the higher you can go, and resolution to 1080p, start from there i guess.
Holy beans, I never messed with the bitrate for some reason. I didn't even consider that I could max it out if I'm not streaming and then lower it again for stream. Now that this has been brought to my attention it seems so obvious
