Hi there! Anyone else having this issue?

BeamNG seems to be reverting to the intel HD integrated graphics. Before the update, it would automatically choose my nividia card. I have tired changing the settings in the nividia control panel so it will use the nividia graphics, but when I start beamNG, it will still be on the intel graphics and be giving me the error in the performance menu about it. My laptop is plugged in, and I have tried restarting it as well. I also have the latest drivers.

    Any ideas?

    Laptop Specs: ASUS X550V
    -intel i7 6700hq
    -8g ram
    -Geforce gtx 950m
    -Win 10

    Thanks everyone!

I don't use nvidia (I'm a AMD scrub) but try this

    -Go to Nvidia Control Panel
    -Go to "Manage 3D settings"
    -There should be "Select Program"
-Find Beamng, If its not there uncheck "Show only programs found on this computer" and go to the steam folder and find the .exe for beamng
-Select the graphics processor to something with nvidia or GTX or something in the name
-Apply/Save settings (Agian, I don't use nvidia so I don't know if its apply or save)
-Boot Beamng and see if it works

This is what I have tried, and it still uses integrated graphics. Im not sure whats going on with it, especially since it was good before the update.

Quick thing to try, make a shortcut to beamng on your desktop. Right click it. On the list somewhere windows gives an option to choose which graphics processor to launch the game with, select your dedicated GPU there

I'm having the same issue, although I have not tried any of the methods above (except going into the control panel as said by Central Contact). However, the game was working earlier this morning, untill I updated the nvidia graphics drivers, (from September drivers to December I think), then it just defaults to the integrated graphics in the CPU. Made sure it's not the driver because it works with Folding@Home.

Guys do it another way. Make sure you have enabled "High Performance mode" then go to advanced additional settings, advanced settings look for something like "Dynamic graphics change", set max performance while (PSU is) plugged in. In this settings:

Sorry for weak explaination, but it's 3:30am in my country and I'm exhausted as hell.

    • Reinstall your Nvidia drivers
    • Check the the correct .exe(s) are added in the Nvidia Control Panel (if needed, even added the .exe(s) in the Bin64 and Bin32 folders in the game's directory
    • Plug your laptop charger. A lot of them are configured to not use the dGraphics if it's running on battery
    • Power-Plan to 'High Performance', not ECO.

    Thanks
for the help. I already tried that.
I reinstalled all drivers (not updating, NEW installing )
i forced nvidia gpu as global setting and every single beamng.exe. (32 bit and 64 bit folders and main folder)
right clicked it and pushes start with nvidia gpu (standard)
nothing. 12 fps on lowest settings :(

I try to reinstalling BeamNg now. I will tell soon if it worked.
    No... didnt work.
    I give up :(
    Please help me

I don't know what else to do.

It's not the game that tells the PC what GPU to use.
It's the GPU drivers that do that and manages the whole thing.

its something different. I have 12 fps in realtime and >20 in half slowmo and smooth >30 in 4 times slowmo :/
So i have something else to find out...

    gtx 880M
It worked like a sharm with 40 fps on mostly high graphics. but now it makes no difference if all is ultra... :/ except the always low fps in realtime.

I'm having the same exact problem with my msi ge62. I have a NVIDIA GTX 970M and it switches to the integrated intel card. I have tried every single solution like the control panel with the 3d settings, and it didn't work, so I would love some help with this issue.
