It's been a while since I made a update on this but here we are,

if you are confused what this is let me explain,
so Beamroleplay is basically a website I made on which you can do
roleplays on different forums or just talk BeamNG related stuff


I made a thread about this like a year ago when I didnt have much time for the website as i was busy with studies, but im back at it again..

The website is still WIP (work in progress) so there are some flaws, but now there are frequent updates here and there

Im gonna give feedback here. Sit back and relax, because this is a long one.

(I'M GONNA BE AS CONSTRUCTIVE AS I CAN!! TAKE MY REVIEW WITH A GRAIN OF SALT) The colors on the main page don't match. The yellow looks rather weird when in contact with the image banner. The font looks decent, but I couldn't help but notice that you were trying to go for the signature BeamNG.drive aspect with Beam. Roleplay . Take this with a grain of salt but imo, BeamNG.roleplay would look much better, and I'm not good with copyright laws but I hope it wouldn't conflict. If you choose not to do BeamNG.roleplay, then at least lowercase the R in roleplay, im begging you. Work on the colors on each page a bit and make the link in the "Projects tab" (for ASTIG configs) actually work. It lets you click on it, therefore it's a hyperlink. You said "Search it up in your browser " but let's be honest, it's convenient for everyone to just click on it, but the hyperlink doesn't work. Refrain from formatting your sentences like "The List of All The Mods I Have Made Yet" and instead do: "Here are all of my mods that I've made over time!" or, if you want to keep the sentence that's already there, edit it to be "The List of all of the mods I have made!" or something along the lines. I do like what you've done with the site, and take my review as constructive criticism, as I do want to help you improve the visual clarity of the site itself. The black and yellow color scheme is very tacky and isn't visually appealing. Try playing around with the colors a bit more to find a more hand-in-hand colorway for the sake of the people who use your site. The "Members" page goes black for a bit then finally loads which may be out of your control but try and tweak that a bit. The color scheme on the "Members page" is completely different than the "Bumblebee" color that you've used for the rest of the site. Make it all match. You can also make an option in the "Edit Profile category" to add a link to your BeamNG forums profile if your users want to help people recognize them. Definitely make it optional, however, for privacy. The Profile page is very helter-skelter and, if this is only for me, it's fine, but I provided an image to help you understand my issue. The text on the profile seems a bit weird, such as "Like Received" Comment Received". To help users understand you can change these to "Likes Received" and you can also, instead of saying Comment Received, just say "Messages" like the real forums. The "View Public Profile" button doesn't match the "Bumblebee" color scheme you have going. When a user goes to "Forum Posts" they are greeted with "I Have No Forum Posts Yet" which you can add a bit of personality to, like "Uh oh! This person doesn't have any posts yet!" or something of that sort. For the sake of this thread I won't type any more, but DM me if you'd like more feedback.

 

Wow, thanks for all that feedback, I will try on improving the things you mentioned, imma fix that the things about the colour right now, the default colour was that ugly blue when I first loaded up the template, Oh and I will also figure out how to make the link work (lol i did the link thing in a hurry)

I've been trying to post a post onto the buy/sell forum, but apparently long posts, or posts with pictures need to be approved by a modgerrerator or something lol.

 

Doesn't show for me. Try saving edit to published site? May have to publish again, im not an avid Wix user, I use G Sites.

 

Maybe It takes a few minutes to update for other users I guess

 

apparently, every single time I actually spend time trying to post something it apparently has to be moderated by moderators, but every single time I post a test post somehow, it's immediately approved, no moderation needed.

 

It updated. For visual clarity you should consider revamping the entire color scheme. Its incredibly tacky and doesn't go well. I'd suggest making the "Roleplay" in BeamNG.Roleplay lowercase for the Beam theme, if you know what i mean. hey that rhymed ! The profile issue also is evident (picture in my original post)

 

the beamrp and beamng forums website doesn't want me to do something apparently and needs me to go through modseration (typo intentional) literally because every single time i've posted the last time it's immediately needed modseration but all the test posts somehow manage to go through modseration maybe it's something with trying to mention some guy that had posted before or the pictures, this is the first post i've gotten to be posted since like 21 minutes ago

 

Happy to see this one revived, definitely will join in on it when I've got time. Good job!

Yes! It works now, now I can finally post in the Buy and Sell forum.

 

Well currently im going to keep the bumblebee yellow for now, I will probably change in later

 

I like the bumblebee (yellow? orange?), it's really like showing the colors of BeamNG since well BeamNG's logo is well, yellow/orange and black.


(I was going to put a picture of the beamng logo but apparently, it's inappropriate.)

 

i agree, but when going to the main page, the buttons are hard to see because of the color clash with the scintilla banner.
