So I recently updated to BeamNG 0.31 and the radial menu is completely broken. I added it in the UI Apps tool and it doesn't show. I have launched it in safe mode and it showed up just fine. Can someone please help?
Not exactly surprising when several of the mods you have installed haven't been updated in months or even years. The Messerschmitt Me-262? That hasn't been updated since 2019. I'm not surprised at all that your game is broken. Every major update, many many many mods will break, and so the best thing to do is keep your mods folder clear whenever the game updates. That way you won't destroy your game, and you have access to the radial menu and stuff. Here's what I do. I take all mods out, and then slowly add back ones I want that I know won't break the game. So simple mods like skins or configs that kinda stuff, usually won't break the game. Entire standalone cars, yeah those might break your game without even spawning them in the game. So I add back the possible game-breaking mods one by one making sure the game still functions as it should, and then when I'm done I've migrated all of the mods I want to keep and I place all the mods I don't want/the ones that don't work into the previous version's mod folder so that way I can keep track of when they broke. That's my method, something else might work better for you, but that's how I do it. But seriously though, whenever there's a major update, mods break, so don't be surprised you can't play the game when some of the mods you have right now haven't been updated in years. --- Post updated --- Also just so you know Beam will tell you in game that some mods might be broken. There's even an option in the mods manager that flags possibly broken mods for you. But it doesn't work perfectly all the time so I clear out my broken mods mostly by hand.
that same thing happened to me. try adding the UI app, closing all the menus, clicking esc once then again, it should appear. every time you use it it will disappear, just press esc twice to get it back. if you don't wanna do it delete the game (make a copy of the mods folder) and redownload it. worked for me soooo
Could fix it, but given the fact that the game runs fine in safe mode, and he has dozens of old mods installed, I'm gonna guess it's entirely based on one or multiple of those mods no longer working.
