My game does not run from the Steam launcher (see video for the problem). Just for clarification, I have had this issue before I updated my game to 1.16, and yesterday when I updated it, I tried to run BeamNG from steam because the update might've fixed it, and it did. Today though, when I tried to launch it from Steam, it did the same thing as before I updated the game. I cannot try any of the options that the normal BeamNG launcher gives me (clear cache, etc...) because not even that shows up. When I go to the Bin64 folder and launch the 64 bit version it runs. Is the launcher 32 bit and if so how can I convert it to 64 bit? (I have a 64 bit machine) How can I fix this because I do like seeing my overall hours and achievements.
The launcher is only in 32-bit. The launcher will then decide if to launch the game in 32-bit or 64-bit. The latter is used only if you have +4GB of RAM. Usually if you don't even see the launcher, that indicate that something may be conflicting or blocking with the game badly. Please check your Antivirus, and similar software. As well carefully check this list: https://wiki.beamng.com/Incompatible_Third_Party_Software
Where can I find them? --- Post updated --- These are all the ones that I have found. And I've looked on the 3rd party software list and I have none downloaded nor activated. --- Post updated --- Did you find anything?
There's nothing in the logs about this. Also the launcher is extremely basic, if anything it should always be showing at least. Makes my suspicious about this being caused by something external to the game much stronger. I don't think this is related to your issue, but it's worth a try: https://www.beamng.com/threads/game-just-stopped-working.61843/#post-1013585
That's exactly my issue. I'm gonna look into it, thanks. --- Post updated --- So, I deleted the registry files because I thought that would work for some reason (of course it didn't lol) and then I verified game files, fixed a file that Steam said was bad and now it runs. Sorry for the inconvenience, I should've thought of verifying game files first.
