Asking for a friend- I know they have suggested PC specs, but if you are on a tight budget, what would be the absolute minimum, bottom of the barrel required computer specs to be able to run Beam? Also, how would big mods like BeamMP effect that?
Well if we talk about absolute bare minimum I used to play beamng on a laptop that has the following specs: -4 GB DDR3L ram; -Intel Pentium N3710(2.56 GHZ, 4 Cores, Braswell dingus, with integrated gpu- HD 405 700 MHZ or so); -as for OS I played on windows 10 and 11. What maps could it run? -gridmap. No don't think of the revamped gridmap, I am talking about the absolute flat and quite infinite gridmap. Fps? 15-20.(on default resolution, 1366x768, but if lowered down could achieve like 5 more) I also tried some multiplayer... And on the revamped gridmap I could play with about 5 fps or so. Another map it could run was a mod, Las Colinnas des Vapor or smth. Still under 10 fps. My laptop didn't blow up or anything, but during winters was a great room-warming device. So yes, if my laptop could run it, everything above it can run this game.
well, what region and what budget, maybe I could try to find something that would fit. Maybe a Steam Deck?
Pretty sure JimsJunk on youtube got it to run on a Pre-Core I-series processor, Might have been AMD though, can't remember
