Backfire sounds inside cars

Backfire sounds inside cars are suddenly quieter, is that a bug? But when i change my view, let's say from straight forward to looking a little left; the backfire sounds are as loud as they were before? And no, I'm not looking outside the window.

So to summarize: backfire sounds are basically inaudible when looking straight forward inside the car, and that's really dissatisfying.

 

Basically, you are saying that the cars are too quiet? Which vehicle and config are you using? You might be tilting your view enough to convince the game you ARE looking out the window.

 

Only the "pop" the exhaust makes. And if i was tilting outside the window, the engine noise would also change, and it does. Nonetheless, i can rotate my view back so that i'm looking in exactly the opposite direction, and even then the "pop" sound gets louder, just like it was a few days ago.
