Any way to disable gear synchros or neutral?

Basically I have a very dodgy shifter and 4th gear is temperamental, whenever I shift into 4th, it goes into gear for a second and then in game it slips right back out again, but the physical shifter is still in 4th, causing me to grind the gear down. Just wondering if its possible to either disable neutral so gears cant slip out once selected, or disable the actual gear synchros, just as a temporary fix until I get a new shifter.

This is for some reason only super common in BeamNG, Ive been Playing Assetto, Dirt Rally 2.0, RBR, EA WRC, and whilst it happens in those games sometimes, its nowhere near as much as Beam, maybe cos of how the gear system works in this game.
