So basically, the new Fidelity Super Resolution will be launched soon, and the cool thing is, that it is open source and it can be used by any developer.

(For everyone who doesn´t know what it is: It´s basically a DLSS competetor, but for more people)

So my idea was, if we could beg the devs to include this feature, so they can improve the performance of the game, which could give lots of people the possibility to play the game, to play the game with more frames and/or with better graphics!

It would be cool if we could implement this, with the next update or so, as this could be a game changer!

I think this will give improvement, but only to a point. Unlike most video games, BeamNG mainly relys on the cpu. There’s only so much you can do to improve frame rate on the GPU side before your cpu starts bottleneck the entire thing.

In short, for BeamNG specifically, fsr won’t do much.

Maybe, but for other it may be a good performance boost, to make the game playable, even with higher graphics. Yk, it would be cool.

I dont think the tech is even out for indie games to use it.

I think first the issue of Beam not properly using the GPU has to be fixed, not all of the GPU is used and as a result FPS is marginally lower than it should be even on solid equipment
FSR implementation would be cool though

It’s not going to do anything in a cpu bound game.

that’s not an issue, it’s because it doesn’t *need* to.

By "not all" I mean like 30-50%

The difference will be negligible. Unless your GPU is pegged at 100 while playing BeamNG, fsr isn’t gonna do anything. (And none of the supported GPU would have BeamNG pegged at 100 anyway.)

Which is why I said the usage fix should come first then FSR

the gpu usage isn't a problem, you arent understanding. since the games engine is from forever ago, it doesn't take a modern gpu more than 30-40% to run the game.

If the engine was that resource-friendly, do you not feel like Beam would have much lower system requirements? Obviously I haven't developed it so I can't speak too much on the matter but I feel something's not right in the optimisation department
Not only that, but a quick Google search nets dozens of results for low CPU/GPU utilisation so this is clearly an issue that's been reported by multiple people for a pretty long time now

Would it be possible if beamng uses pbr, considering that one screenshot?

Also, an overclocked gt710 is almost always pegged at 100% lol

But it's better than having no GPU lol
    I'm fine with 20fps:p

It’s actually not, you are far better off just using your integrated graphics.

The cpu i use is a veeery old sempron 145 which i unlocked the second core of. very unstable at 3.8Ghz, and the iGpu of a terrible cpu is, well, terrible. It has and Amd HD3000 series. so, yeah, crap. Makes the GT710 look like an rtx in comparison...

You got Beam to run on a 145

    Second core unlocked and
    Core 1 boosted to 4ghz
    Core 2 boosted to 3.8,
Was the most stable I got it...

This cpu is a bit bonkers tbh.. and not in a good way..

I don't think it is required at all, BeamNG is not "that" heavy on the GPU
