AI Randomly turns around in the middle of the road on WCUSA

I have noticed that half of the time, vehicles will randomly turn around in the middle of the road on WCUSA, this mainly happens on the interstates for some odd reason.

 

It happens because of a few AI Decalroads not connecting or missing. Turn on Visual Log and Navigraph with the AI app to see where the roads don't appear.

 

I found these tiny spots, not sure if that could be the cause though.

 

Not exactly that, those are just disconnected since the paths are shows by rectangles, and corners do that. Turn on "Visual Log" and it will show where there is no 2 connected "node" or Decalroad actually connects. You can try to drive a vehicle there, and most likely, the AI would turn around since it doesn't detect where to go.

(Don't ask where I know all this from, its really simple actually...)

No problem, just report it to the devs, they should know where to fix it.

 

A few of the AI problems around suburban area


Trying to go from left of image to right, AI does a loop thru top.


Same junction, but viewed from other side and AI car drives the other way. AI stays in junction, but does strange S shape


AI randomly charges into building, when target vehicle is right in front!


No left turn for AI going from right side of image to bottom side. So it goes thru lift side of image (the ramp)


No straight for AI going from right side of image to left side. So it U-turns on the ramp. again.


No left turn for AI going from left side of image to top side, so AI goes on the wrong side of the road until the left turn lane merges with straight, then U-turns.

That's just a handful of examples for ridiculusly sloppy AI management.
@devs- IDK if it's on your priority list, but if it helps, I can locate dozens of other places where AI is pretty sloppy.

 

Thank you for pointing this out, I really hope the devs put this on their high priority list, because AI is very broken right now..
