I feel the threshold for ABS to work should be a bit higher, at least for sportier brakes. I know you can brake a bit harder with non-ABS brakes, but sometimes it seems like you're barely braking: For example, in the '88 Pessima I prefer stock brakes over GTz brakes even though the latter should be much better, non-ABS just feels more tight at the grip limit, GTz brakes are too soft.

I get this impression with every car, not just the Pessima.

Take it from me i drive a 99 Ford E-150 full-size van everyday as my daily driver... the abs has caused me a few accidents its very dangerous in heavy vehicles... i personally disconnect abs on my own personal vehicles.. and i notices in game the abs is just as deadly....I'm old school i have always driven vehicles without abs and never had issues.... people tend to lock up on panic. i usually veer around a vehicle if know i.m going to hit it unless i simply cannot avoid it.... now in the front and rear suspension jbeams u can change the abs threshold or turn them off or just tweak them so abs still works and the car can stop faster instead that holy shit i have no brakes damn u abs! lol... and the flickering abs light... no American car i have driven does that u just feel the pulsing of the abs in the brake pedal... no lights.. at least for the 30+ cars i have owned in real life...abs lights come on usually when the abs is not working.. etc.. abs sensor in differential or the ones at the wheels
