    Hello,
I might have found a bug with the braking system. In specific circumstances, even with the brake fully depressed, the car does not really slow down, but rather seems to be coasting for a few seconds. This only occurs, if you depress the brake rapidly the exaxt moment you lift off the throttle.

    Steps for reproducing:
    • Use an Xbox 360 controller (unsure if relevant, can't try with wheel at the moment)
    • get in any car (eSBR 800 seems to be the most reproducible / obvious)
    • apply full throttle from a stand still and release it shortly after (approx. half a second)
    • as soon as the right trigger reaches zero position, apply full braking (timing is key here)
I made a crappy video to show what happens. While watching, note that I did not modulate the throttle or brake triggers. Only full or none at all. So as soon as you see the brake lights in the video, full braking is applied.

I have been noticing this behavior for quite some time with many original cars and with automation cars aswell. But I couldn't quite point the finger at it until now, where it is finally reproducible.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I hope you can reproduce the error. I'd be interested in knowing what causes this.

Sadly I can't edit the original post, the video url seems to be the wrong one. Here is the correct video:

Yep, if you go from massive wheelspin to full on braking immediately the system lacks a point of reference and has a bit of trouble.

It sounds like this is a known issue - are there plans on attending it?
As a temporary fix maybe it would be better to have the brakes rather lock up instead of them completely failing.

The problem is that the current system has no idea about when or if it is failing (there's more stuff then just immediate switch from throttle to brake that can cause this behavior)
This system won't get fixed since it's an inherent issue in the design, however I've been researching improved and most importantly more integrated systems for almost a year now and I am positive that the next system will have much less such issues :)
