about "Node-Materials"...

is there a way to edit/customise existing node-materials like: nm_rubber, nm_metal, nm_plastic, nm_wood, nm_glass etc. or even create new node-materials?

ive searched everywhere, the core folders, the gameengine-zip etc. for a mis/json/cs file managing the node materials with no luck yet.

wiki doesnt help either... does anyone know more? or could point me in the file direction?

any help would be appreciated.

Node material currently just affects the sound (and the eventual particles) produced with collisions.

 

...and whether the collision produces skidmarks or not.

im aware of their functions, but thanks anyway.
i would like to know where the file is hidden that i must alter to alter these functions.
any hints on that one?

 

That's what I meant to say.

Their function is likely hardcoded or stored in some .LUA script, I doubt you could alter these functions without some significant tampering with the core game files.

 

i dont care, ill reinstall if i break the game. wouldnt be the first time.

thats what i fear... i just hoped for a more official answer.
