To me, I think the Sunburst is a facelifted model from the early-mid 2000s. The bodystyle is a little bit older, similar to how Subaru basically facelifted their 90s Impreza into 2007.
I don't really have a strong opinion on any changes except the roamer and moonhawk. They both look better now, the moonhawk is a 70s barge, it should be all curves desperately trying to be a 60s muscle car. And the roamer looks like a real car and not a toy. I think gabester may have had a bit too much of a thing for slab-sided cars. The sunburst looks fine now, the smoother body lines fit it well enough.
It looks like the old Imprezas and Lancers designed in the 1990s. Their rear windows were basically vertical. Mitsubishi kept the 2000 Lancer's design until 2010, so the idea is not that far fetched.
I personally like the new designs, except the ETK 800. It looks a little odd in the rear, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.
The coeval Impreza had a much more slanted rear window, thicker C-pillars and an higher third volume. Not a style choice, it was a structural (and functional) necessity. Sunburst has the proportions of those cheap booted superminis of the '80s.
So people give others hell for missing the old D-Series default and just wanting something to remember it by or wanting the Piccolina to be realistic but this is fine?..
jear any car afer 2010 is literaly dead in designe everything i a gray mas built by gm toyota psa or vw and even under them very litle vairity it hurts
Except that they usually weren't as overstyled. Usually... --- Post updated --- Was design better when it was "we slap a rectangle, a trapezoid and a rectangle together"?
People freaked out when others pointed out the historical issues in the Piccolina People freaked out when some of us said we miss the old D-Series defualt A conversation hating on updated models that give more realistic proportions to older vehciles is mostly civil Not trying to come off as wanting this to be uncivil, it's nice that this thread is unusually devoid of yelling except for the OP. It's just a bit annoying becuase improving the old models is necessary to an extent whereas the Piccolina's innacuracys and deleting something that's been in the game as long as that old default were not necessary.
Where do you see hate? Several people, including me, found that Sunburst was made worse. I started this petition, but it turns out my idea lacks supporters.
.. for real? :| Feedback is welcome and we are happy to listen to them, but the way you are putting it makes it look like a childish complaint rather than a feedback that could contribute.
I'm more sad that the interior of the rear door of the Sunburst, even with the revised model, has not done yet. And yes, I prefer the new one, honestly. Just fix the wonky rear door insides.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha oh my god funniest shit I've seen today imo (and apparently everyone else opinion) the new cars have nice refreshing look. It took me a wile but they eventually grew on me
The other two conversations received a lot of hate, this one is civil so far, which is unusual. I'm still not use to the changes, but they aren't that easy for me to notice unless the old and new ones are side by side like in the devblog gifs. Maybe this is just because I play on a 10 year old laptop so my graphics settings are rather low. They use to have a somewhat unique cartoonish property which I liked, they are more realistic now. Just takes some getting use to.
I really like the restyle of these cars. The ETK 800 was never a beautiful thing imo, but it's better now. As for the Sunburst, i think it needs some non-red, well black, brake calipers for the base models, thats it!
