Coming ! Probably not very soon A minecraft car (to teach me to Jbeam I hate minecraft don't worry) Heres the model (its minecraft so don't say oh you scared of polys) I think I get the theory of Jbeam but I'm confuzled a bit heres an example : Green : nodes Turqoise : beam's Red : Do I need these beams ? If anyone knows please post I'll be working on Jbeam and uploading video as you read.
If you have trouble visualising things such that you needed to trace over an image of a cube you nicked off Google Images, you're in for a world of pain when it comes to jbeaming more complex objects. And yes, you need those red beams.
When building a structure out of Jbeams, the best thing you can set your mind too is like building it out of magnetix. The nodes are the little magnetic balls and the beams are the... well... beams Basically, like in magneticx, the balls or nodes have no friction to hold the beams with... so they act like ball joints with infinite freedom of movement. The beams that connect everything together, on the other hand, literally do just that. To make a structure strong, you have to limit the nodes movement. You do this by adding beams to that node to limit the nodes movement. If that isn't what you were looking for just say something and I can try to explain it better.
Hi I don't own beamng yet I was wondering how do you apply the jbeam? Could you tell me please? I want to make some mods.
Step 2: Read this - Introduction_to_Vehicle_Creation Here's the thread for it: Introduction-to-Vehicle-Creation-Feedback-Thread It's quite a task, so make sure you're up for it. Good luck .
