Hi. I'm currently saving money to build a PC that'd be "good enough" for 1080p gaming at 30-60 fps. (In case you want move on to my build plan below, note that I'm explaining my choices, starting point and priorities on these upper paragraphs.) I can even take lower than normal graphics, if it means that I don't have to spend half a year gathering money. My monitor is only 1080p anyway, so the PC wouldn't have to deal with more than that. Also, I don't more than one screen for now. Although an Intel Core i7 or better is recommended, saving for that would balloon the budget beyond my priorities overall. I'm a beginner in this field, but I also aim for something better than what I've had so far. My goal is to first build a basic machine that'd do the job, but upgrade it in the future when I'm more able to save for the parts. What about the scenarios then? It would be nice if I could join a race with multiple cars, run from the cops and speed through AI traffic. To make it clear where I'm starting, I've ran the game on a 2018 Mac Mini with a Win10 partition so far. Here're the main specs of it: CPU: A 6-core Intel Core i5 with 3 GHz RAM: 8 Gt 2667 MHz DDR4 GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 630, 1536 MB I suppose the main bottlenecks are the GPU and the weak RAM. On the lowest graphics, it can lift the Hero bus at the Jump Arena at a 30 fps field, but any bigger maps, let alone a race that I tried, are downright uncomfortable. Loading any bigger scenarios and maps takes forever and the wait is rewarded by a sluggish performance. And as we know, Apple frowns upon upgrading parts and makes their machines virtually UN-upgradable. So, here's my PC plan/budget after weeks of research: Case: DeepCool Matrexx 50, ATX Motherboard: Asrock H610M-HVS mATX CPU: Intel Core i5-12400F GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1650 D6 VENTUS XS OCV1 RAM: Kingston 16 Gt 3200 MHz DDR4 CL22 Storage: WD Green 240 GB M.2 2280 SATA SSD Power supply: Seasonic G12 GC-750 ATX, 750 W Cooling: 3 Arctic P12 PWM fans System: Microsoft Windows 11 Home - 64-bit So what do you think? All this would cost 846.89 euros at my local vendor, and if the build is worth it, I'd have the money by February. (I included a Win11 license 'cause I don't have the product key for my Win10 installation). Another, cheaper option would be a prebuilt Lenovo Ideacentre Gaming 5 (90T1009FMW), that I could get in January. My main concern though, is its upradability compared to a custom build.
Not a good PC for almost 900€. GTX 1650 is weak AF and SSD is too small. Are you sure you can't figure out the Win 10 key you already own? What country are you from, for local prices?
I live in Finland and I never figured out the key when I installed the Win 10. The recommendations say that GTX 970 should be enough, though. (And I already ordered the GTX 1650 before seeing the reply, due to potential future shortages caused by the AI trend). To be exact, I'm basing my budget on the prices at a local vendor called Verkkokauppa(dot)com. We may have different stances on whether it's even wise to have such brand loyalty, but for Finns they've been like what RadioShack used to be in the States. Maybe I'm paying for air to a degree, but in a more distant future I AM going to upgrade for beefier parts. For now, I'm just saving for a more bearable BeamNG experience, if that's what the GPU's gonna deliver.
that's for getting around 60 FPS at normal settings at 1080p, i'd recommend getting something better than the GTX 1650 like JlnPrssnr said, as it can have a huge impact on higher graphics where GPU is more bound...
BUMP I've found that BeamNG is more CPU-heavy. The BeamNG bottleneck on my PC is almost always the CPU. My PC runs Fh5 with reasonably great graphics, at a constant 60 fps 1080p btw. And it can run "Jedi Survivor" reasonably well.
Mine: CPU:intel i5 12490f GPU:asus 3060ti dual RAM:Kingbank 8*2 3200 ddr4 Storage:Fanxiang S690 1tb pcie 4.0 CPU Fan: Proartist e2 Motherboard:Maxsun h610i Powersupply:Almordor sfx 650 Total price:5200rmb/700$ Run at 120fps in WCUSA,1 car,1440*900 For reference.
This is with an AMD Ryzen 5 5500 CPU and Radeon RX 570 series (D3D11) with 4074 MB Vram, and 16GB's of Ram.
Heres what game on i think it costed me like 900 bucks to make back in like 2020? It used to run beam solid 60 locked but since the pbr update Which forces me to run reflections now(the game no longer looks good without em) its more like 34-40 max graphics with reflections set to max resolution max render distance and 2 update rate. RX 570X with 8GB vram Rysen 5 2600 6 core CPU with included CPU cooler MSI b450-A Pro Corsair 2X 8GB 3400Mhz ram(i have no idea which one exactly but its a non RGB one) Corsair CX 750M PSU 1TB M.2 SSD as main storage(i cant remember what brand but it was stupid expensive) 4TB SSD(That was broken out of the box so its never worked) 8TB easystore external hard drive i found in the garage that was broken and wouldnt boot up but i hit it really hard with a rubber mallet and it somehow started working again and has worked for 4 years now. 3x 120mm Corsair RGB fans 2x some random 120mm non rgb fans i got off temu Thermaltech h22 versa case(its awful and doesnt keep dust out very good dont buy it)
guys dont do my build its no longer a good beginner pc. With the new update i play at 28 fps on west coast usa now lol. i cant run beam max graphics anymore lol. I mean maybe its ok my cpu is fine but my gpu is struggling. take my buildand swap out the 570 for an rx580 and itd be ok. the 570 is to outdated now.
Yea infound it was the new dynamic mirrrors and that far away blur thing(i just woke up i cant remember the name) and lightnrays got turned on mybfps went better aftwr that
Idk inturned it off Nd my fos wen from kike 28-32 to 40 again. Even with rhe mirror thing off i still had reflection in the mirrors so idk why id have it on. Its probably also cause ive been going through some stuff recently and ive completely neglected my pc and its stuffed full of dust
