Yes it is. My Land Cruiser frame actually imploded. It was like blackhole! I´m also trying to learn Jbeam. I dont know why the suspensions etc have to be on different Jbeam.
this is true, if you look at modern f1 cars, they have a bullet proof pod around the driver and fuel tank and the rest is desinged to break up were as older cars were desined to stay in one piece in an accident(how do you spell desined?)
Thanks all, Yep, I'm still plugging away at it with nodes and beams. I'm still learning how to set things up and get the beam settings right. Since trying to find info is sparse, there's no other choice but to look over all the other files to find patterns and principles to know how to construct it. So far I've got the frame, body, rear axle, tires and front suspension done. After I finish the rest of the car I'll have to a lot of trouble shooting and tweaking to do so everything looks right and crushes well. I swear when trying to code this thing and test it in-game, if you get so much as one comma or bracket out of place the car twists in two, flies into the air, and explodes taking out an entire neighborhood including that Walmart store just down the street.... Ah well, back to work
What I said includes road cars too actually, but yes F1 cars do it as well. Designed has a G in it. Most web browsers have a spell check built in which should pick up on that. If I try and type it your way into android it even autocorrects it.
I have to say this is the best mod I have ever seen in any game. And I've been gaming for 11 years. I commend you on this amazing project and I cannot wait for the release.
I just hope you do a stock factory fresh edition as well Or maybe a mildly customized version. Keep up the good work
I just posted this video to show some more progress. It's at least functional at the moment and to show that I intend on finishing this project. It's just going to take me awhile to learn how to work with nodes and beams and getting them to work right. I still have the fenders, hood, exhaust, and roll cage to beam which shouldn't take too awfully long ( I hope ). After that of coarse there's going to be tons of tweaking and adjusting to get the collision to look good and not freak out.
I don't think so. he's been pretty loyal.. - - - Updated - - - He was active 5 days ago so I don't think he's giving up.
No it's not dead, just on a break for awhile. No matter what plans you have, life has a way of resetting your schedule. I'll get it done eventually.
