Alright, after some down time from this mod, I've updated the tires and fixed the ingame parts system I think. Rear steering is now option.
Re: BETA/WIP: 2004 Campbell Moonbuggy Looks great, going to test it out now! I'll make an edit on this post once I have some feedback. EDIT: I love the look of it and the way it drives, the rear wheel steering was also a cool touch! My only complaint is how week the tires are, I know you might not be able to fox this but the tires do "pop" when going over many different types of obstacles. Overall this is a great vehicle for a WIP!
Re: BETA/WIP: 2004 Campbell Moonbuggy Nice crawler man. EDIT: I tested it. The performance is outstanding! Very awesome job.
Re: BETA/WIP: 2004 Campbell Moonbuggy Already having a blasty blast with this mod. Keep it up. I love the physics in this game. The fact I can actually drive up a wall blows my mind. Please keep working on the model. Maybe rip the window material from an existing car too... I had serious window glow in the cave on the grid map. Maybe it's just the windows in general in this game, didn't test a regular car. View attachment 3129
Re: BETA/WIP: 2004 Campbell Moonbuggy Many thanks dkutch! It's good to feel excited about crawling again Just need to get my gamepad working and I can test this baby out!
Re: BETA/WIP: 2004 Campbell Moonbuggy Downloaded this yesterday night and it worked like a charm. One major thing though, if you change the gearbox to the low-range one with the parts system, the front wheel steering disappears.
Re: BETA/WIP: 2004 Campbell Moonbuggy Very nice. I can now drive full loops in that giant cylinder on the grid map. Has a weird tendency for one of the axles to turn sideways but I guess I might be going too fast. At least it can right itself. Also seems a bit fragile. Certain light impacts render it undrivable. Could be intentional.
Re: BETA/WIP: 2004 Campbell Moonbuggy This car is awesome with the CLiff. Just move spawnpoint to the bottom and decrease the angle of the slope If someone wanna make a nice level save for that, please do
Re: BETA/WIP: 2004 Campbell Moonbuggy Thanks for trying it. The damage in general hasn't been tuned at ALL. I have to add lots of limiter beams to try and keep the axle from going from the chassis, and yeah, tune the tires.
Re: BETA/WIP: 2004 Campbell Moonbuggy I am also having this problem. But, if I change any of the parts the front steering goes away.
Re: BETA/WIP: 2004 Campbell Moonbuggy Looks awesome! Great to see modders like you carry over from RoR
Re: BETA/WIP: 2004 Campbell Moonbuggy hey guys&girls. first post on here with an issue on installing this vehicle mod. BeamNG keeps crashing when i go to change to this Buggy. Most likely me being thick and i've been to the "installing new content" section on the wiki. Any more specifics on how to get this mod working would be great, thanks.
Re: BETA/WIP: 2004 Campbell Moonbuggy All you have to do is open the zip file, and then drag and drop the folder from the zip file, to your beamng/vehicles folder.
Re: BETA/WIP: 2004 Campbell Moonbuggy that is what i did, will delete and reinstall the vehicle mod, see if it sorts itself out.
